This week of photography came off to a good start. Usually my photography is spread out across the week and is not this active.
Sunday: Prep-time
On Sunday I attempted, keyword attempted, to plan out a shoot with my friend Genesis Johnson but we couldn't come up with sound ideas. So I pushed the planning for Monday due to the need to finish a paper for school. I successfully was able to plan a photo session with new photographers for the student newspaper: The Reporter. As the new school year is approaching I came up with having photo-sessions with the new recruits of the newspaper. I researched some basics videos to help them learn more about the camera and how it works. Just the tip of the ice-berg, and this is a big ice berg.
Monday: Professor Vlad
Monday was a surprisingly packed with teaching photography. Within the span of 15 seconds I went innocent bystander to photography professor for some freshmen "High school" students. On spot I taught them the basics of photography and how to use a camera which was pretty cool. They were an active audience for the most part. My main points were the absolute basics of photography: Shutter speed, ISO, and aperture knowledge. Throughout the day I taught the other recruits for the newspaper and went over some basics. Later that day I officially became the new photo-editor for the Newspaper which was exciting news. I managed to plan out the upcoming office photo-shoot on Wednesday which is a paid gig. I developed a shot-list and some reference notes for when I am in the shoot.

Tuesday: Photo-shoot day
After an lecture on chemistry I rushed back to office to prep the shoot withe Genesis which was today that day. I forgot to confirm everything with her the day before so before i left the house to go to Miami-Dade College I texted her to surprise me and we'll figure it out. After a little hour wait time we figured out what we were doing while we were shooting. (I promise i do better with other shoots.) This wasn't a paid gig, just for fun. It turned out really well; during the shoot I got to test out the canon 70-200mm I borrowed from the reporter. and the pictures turned out amazing. I haven't edited any of the pictures yet but here's a sneak peak.

Wednesday:
This Wednesday I have the paid office photo-shoot today. It should go well, I have been to the location before for other things so i have a feel for what I am expecting but anything can happen thats why I am preparing. I a planning another photo-session with another one of the photographers I trained on Monday to get more of a feel for their skill-sets. I am also planning a car photo-shoot with a friend on Saturday afternoon. He just managed to get a luxury Infinity car and I've been dying to shoot it... with a camera. While thinking of that I am going to plan another car photo-shoot with another friend. I am iffy on whether i want to do it on the same day or save it for the next Saturday. I am hoping to start editing the pictures from the photo-shoot with Genesis Johnson. It shouldn't be too challenging; just some light color correcting and red spots I always get with my camera. If not today, I can push it to Thursday which is going to be a buffer for photography. I have Chemistry lab which last most of the day after the lecture.
Next week I'll tell you if I survived this week of photography and how the car shooting went.
Until next time...
