So bad news guys. I am up to my neck in school work and from Thursday last week till Tuesday I could not get anything done. The car photo-shoot I talked about last week got cancelled last minute, which hurt... a lot, I couldn't edit the photos of Genesis which I've been dying to start. It took all of my energy last night to finish the office photos so I can sen them out. On Sunday I took a trip to the mango festival where I spent time with some butterflies for some much needed R&R.

One thing to get used to in photography is being to busy for photos at times. For my photographers out there on this blue somewhat green planet. This will happen in your photography career. Sometimes life will get in the way and that's okay. There are times when you just want to sip some ice tea, turn on a chill music playlist and edit photos or just take photos but you just can't. Life will get in the way, obligations will have to come before. If you are in school, you will need to take time off for that. If you have kids, they need to have priority.. so they say.

In some cases the photos will never get edited, seriously never. I shot a concert and I was so crushed by school in that month that they were never edited. A month and a half I was unable to edit them. Provided I took more than 1200 photos that night so it was beyond me. This is a reality of photography or any creative field. Its hard because some pics come out so good. But they never saw the light of day. As a matter of fact they are still on my computer a full year later.

And the opposite happens as well. Some days you just can't bring yourself to take pictures. The mere sight of a camera brings your whole mood down. You have pictures but you have no intention of editing them. You get burnt out and you just need sometime away. You are not braking up with the photography but you need a break from the "relationship." It is recommended that you find a hobby that has nothing to do with photography but you use is as a buffer. You are not cheating but you are using it so you won't get bored with photography. Again not cheating, just trying "new things."

I still have every intention of finishing everything on my photography plate at least in the next week. but first I have to deal with this school work; then photography, because you need to get a college degree as they like to say...
